Under the patronage of Dr. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan, and Dr. Abdul Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, the sixth conference of School of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University was launched at School of Business at the University of Jordan. The conference is held in collaboration with School of Business at the University of Jordan, focusing on business, communication, and innovation.
Dr. Obeidat expressed his happiness and gratitude for the collaboration between the University of Jordan and An-Najah National University, which are both shining examples of institutions deeply rooted in shared history and values. He highlighted how this partnership, through the conference, underscores the belief that science and knowledge are the true guarantees for the future of nations, human prosperity, and mutual respect. He emphasized that both universities are committed to linking business and finance with technology, keeping pace with their ongoing developments and discoveries. Dr. Obaidat also called for exploring fields that are of urgent importance, stressing the need not only to read the works of other researchers but also to contribute meaningfully with research that reflects the progress and findings of scholars in both of our beloved countries and across the Arab and Islamic world, so that others may read and learn from them. He urged for a focus on guiding our scholars and researchers to bring knowledge back home, to prove to the world that we can once again reclaim the historical legacy of progress and success in knowledge production, transfer, and transformation, which will drive our advancement, construction, and strong, influential economies.
Dr. Obeidat pointed out that the University of Jordan stands today in the right place, occupying a distinguished position in global rankings for its key programs and five core areas of knowledge. He emphasized that maintaining this achievement and making further progress requires increased effort and work. This is necessary to demonstrate to the world the University of Jordan’s ability to foster growth, excellence, and guide students toward creativity and initiatives that will create capable and scientifically advanced communities.
For his part, Dr. Abdul Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, expressed his gratitude to the University of Jordan for this collaboration, acknowledging its long-standing role in the progress and development of both Jordan and the Arab and Islamic world. He expressed his joy, pride, and honor that the School of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University is holding this conference under such exceptional and difficult circumstances, particularly amid the ongoing war in Gaza. He noted that this conference serves as an important platform for experts and researchers, where scholars and interested parties meet to delve into the aspects shaping the future of resilient and sustainable businesses. Dr. Zaid called for effective contributions to create a resilient future in business that transcends traditional boundaries and ensures a positive, lasting impact on society. He also extended his thanks to those organizing and participating in the conference, hoping that it would yield results and recommendations that can be applied, benefiting society and contributing positively to its development.
For his part, Dr. Ra'ed Mosa'dah Bani Yaseen, Dean of School of Business at the University of Jordan, stated that from the very moment the joint scientific conference was accepted, joint scientific, technical, and preparatory committees were formed. The preparation for the conference, sessions, and the evaluation of scientific papers began, with the work of these committees, which included more than fifty faculty members and administrative staff, continuing for five months.
Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, Dean of the College of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, stated that the goal of the conference is to explore new horizons in the fields of business intelligence and data analysis, which are essential pillars for business success in our modern era. More than 75 peer-reviewed scientific papers were accepted, covering a wide range of important topics from researchers from over 14 countries. The conference also included specialized panel sessions by industry experts in the field of business, which will contribute to enriching scientific and academic discussions.
The conference includes several panel discussions and scientific sessions, running for two days both in-person and online, with the participation of over two hundred experts and researchers from business sectors. It provides an opportunity for experts, academics, and researchers in the field of business to exchange their experiences and research findings on the latest global administrative, economic, and financial developments, as well as their impact on economic environments, business resilience, entrepreneurship, innovation, smart business, and sustainability. Following the conference, all scientific papers will be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and books, indexed in reputable global databases such as Scopus and others.
At the end of the opening, Dr. Obeidat presented plaques to the President of An-Najah National University, the Dean of the College of Business and Communication, as well as to Tamkeen Insurance Company and Jihad Consulting Company, the sponsors of the conference. In return, the Dean of the College of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University presented plaques on behalf of its president to the President of the University of Jordan and the Dean of its School of Business.
