The Dean of School of Business participated in delivering a lecture at the Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain

​At the invitation of the Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Dean of School  of Business, Dr. Ra'ed Mosa'adeh Bani Yaseen, delivered a lecture to graduate students in the Department of Innovation and Technology Management, in the presence of faculty members, on the knowledge economy and technological management. This lecture was part of a series of presentations, discussion sessions, seminars, and workshops held by the university with experts and specialists. The scientific session was moderated by Dr. Awda Rashid Al-Jayousi, a professor of Information Systems.

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Bani Yaseen answered the questions and comments from the faculty members, researchers, students, and attendees.

Dr. Bani Yaseen also met with the Dean of the Graduate School at the Arabian Gulf University, Professor Dr. Saud Al-Mohamid, the Chair of the Department of Innovation and Technology Management, Dr. Awda Rashid Al-Jayousi, and Dr. Fayrouz Al-Domour, a professor of Information Systems. They emphasized the importance of keeping up with the latest developments in the digital revolution and capitalizing on investment opportunities in technological fields, entrepreneurship, innovation, and areas such as education, healthcare, and industry. They also stressed the need to address various challenges related to big data, privacy, competition, and the ethical, regulatory, legal, and financial implications of technological changes. Additionally, they welcomed the opportunity to open doors for collaboration with School of Business at the University of Jordan.

The doctoral dissertation of researcher Modhi Yusuf Abdullah Ali Yusuf Al-Mansour was also discussed. Her research, titled Exploring the Flexibility of Innovation in Public Services During Crises: A Case Study from the Perspective of Employees in the Public Sector in the Ministries of Education and Health in the GCC Countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia), was supervised by Professor Dr. Fayrouz Al-Domour.

The thematic analysis of interviews conducted with 30 senior managers and supervisors in the government sector, as well as the survey analysis based on 374 responses, revealed fifteen priorities for innovation flexibility in public services and six strategies in the healthcare and education sectors during three periods: before, during, and after the COVID-19 crisis. After deliberation, the discussion committee approved the dissertation with minor revisions.

Dr. Bani Yaseen also met with Dr. Haroun Al-Riyalat, an alumnus of the College of Business at the University of Jordan, who is currently working in the Information Systems Department at the University of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Riyalat expressed his pride in the University of Jordan and its prestigious reputation, as well as its remarkable global rankings. He welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with the university and its researchers, aiming for the highest levels of excellence and international recognition.
