Dr. Mutaz Al-Debei, Professor of Technology Management and a member of the Department of Management Information Systems at School of Business at the University of Jordan, participated in the International Conference specialized in Digital Transformation and Innovation Management in Hungary.
The conference served as a leading platform for researchers, academics, and industry practitioners to meet and explore advanced technologies in the field of Information Systems and Innovation Management, fostering a collaborative environment that highlights the profound impact of digital transformation on organizational strategies, operations, and global social progress.
Al-Debeipresented a research paper exploring the transformative technology of the "metaverse" and the role of personal innovation in its acceptance and use. His study highlighted the future potential of metaverse technology and the significant role that personal innovation plays in its adoption and integration. It also examined how personal traits and the inclination toward innovation can influence the broader acceptance and use of these transformative technologies.
Researchers from international universities in Spain, Germany, and Austria expressed strong interest in future collaboration with Dr. Al-Debei and the researchers from School of Business, with the aim of conducting joint scientific research in this emerging field.
For his part, Dr. Ra'ed Masa'deh Bani Yaseen, Dean of School of Business, emphasized the importance of the school members' participation in such significant conferences, aiming to exchange knowledge and experiences, and enhance the cognitive and research skills of the teaching staff. He noted that these participations align with the School of Business's plan to encourage school members to publish research papers and promote scientific research in emerging fields.
He pointed out that the school strives to be a leader and distinguished at the local, regional, and international levels by contributing to the dissemination of scientific research and advancing in achieving prestigious global rankings. He commended the efforts of the participating colleagues and their contributions to the advancement of scientific research. He expressed his anticipation for further scientific participations aimed at promoting the culture of networking with universities at the local, regional, and global levels, encouraging scientific publication in high-level journals and publishing houses, enhancing research citation, and developing relationships with external entities that support research and scientific projects.
