1605444 Information Security
Course Description :

Prerequisite: None

This course provides a broad review of the entire field of information security, background on many related elements and concepts, and enough detail to facilitate an understanding of the topic as a whole. Through the course, we will cover the terminology of the field, the history of the discipline, and strategies for managing an information security program. A structured approach would be followed in this course; a structure that moves from the strategic aspects of information security to the operational—beginning with the external impetus for information security, moving through the organization’s governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance strategic approaches, and continuing with the technical and operational implementation of security in the organization. Such approach is believed to support the students’ learning.
