An administrative scientific day on scientific developments from the reality of Jordanian labor market

Deputizing for the President of the University of Jordan, the Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Raed Masa'deh Bani Yassin, inaugurated the Administrative Scientific Day, which was organized by the School of Business and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center at the University of Jordan, in cooperation with Al-Raja International Company.

The day hosted a discussion moderated by a group of experts on the latest scientific developments in the Jordanian labor market, project management, work in international organizations, the elements necessary to qualify accountants for the labor market, vacancies in human resources systems, the English language and its importance in business, and vacancies in logistics services and supply chains.

The Dean said that the University of Jordan seeks to be a leader at the local, regional and international levels in preparing specialized human resources, supporting the academic and administrative staff and students to reach international levels, providing a contemporary educational environment that builds on solid scientific research, partnering with stakeholders, and review and improve all its academic programs and study plans in line with the requirements of the labor market.

He also pointed out the necessity of networking with the labor market by inviting experts to give lectures, pointing out that the university allocated 20% of the number of lectures per academic subject to experts.

In turn, the Director of the Quality Assurance Department at the Center, Dr. Muhammad Abu Sharia, said that there is an urgent need to reconsider the educational outcomes, and to provide the labor market with the necessary competencies to meet its needs, which requires scrutiny of the existing study plans, and the development of new programs that take into account the continuous changes in the labor market. He further referred to the positive impact of networking, whether in terms of study plans or bridging the gap between the practical and theoretical aspects, on the outputs of academic subjects, and thus on the outputs of academic programs and the university in general.

The scientific day dealt with five axes, the first of which was “Al-Raja Project" presented by Musa Awwad, Director of Accounts at Al-Raja International Company. As for the second axis, “Science and departments of supply chains and supply chains", it was presented by the manager of the Amazon team, Hani Al-Banna, while the third axis dealt with “Science of project management and work in organizations." Non-Profit" and presented by Ali Odeh, Technology Director at Optimiza, while the fourth axis dealt with “Human Resources Science and Vacancies" and was presented by Hossam Jaber, Human Resources Director at Biotech Company. The fifth axis dealt with “English in Business" and was presented by Judy Bilbrough.

At the end of the scientific day, Bani Yassin honored the participants and the presenters.
