Two lectures on "Human Capital" and "Information Systems in Project Management"


The School of Business at the University of Jordan hosted a number of European academics and experts participating in the activities of Erasmus+ Week 2023, which was held by the University's International Affairs Unit in its fourth edition this year under the slogan "Transforming Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Successful Transition", with the participation of 45 Academics from 18 European universities across 11 countries around the world.

The Dean of the School of Business, Dr. Raed Masa'deh, and during his meeting with Professor Livio Lonrusca and Dr. Romana Todorekiu from the Romanian University of Sibiu, and Dr. Dana Georginia Sordo from the Romanian American University, discussed aspects of scientific and academic cooperation in the field of business and international negotiations, in addition to organizing events and activities and establishing research projects of common interest.

Dr. Masa'deh said during the meeting, which was attended by a number of faculty members at the school; The School of Business spares no effort in creating a university environment for its students that motivates them to learn and integrate theory and practice, and to acquire leadership and management skills that enable them to move steadily towards the future of entrepreneurship.

  He added that the school is keen to provide distinguished services in education, scientific research, training and capacity building through offering advanced academic programs and modern research methods that keep pace with local, regional and global changes and are in line with international quality standards, to prepare qualified graduates who are able to compete in the local and global markets.

On the sidelines of the visit, the guest delegation delivered two scientific lectures to the faculty members and school students. The first dealt with human capital, which is based on the knowledge, skills and capabilities that people accumulate throughout their lives, and the possibility of investing them by their owners to be productive individuals in their society.

  In the second lecture, the delegation discussed information systems in project management, and its importance in making decisions in economic institutions and ensuring the continuity of their economic activity in the long term, praising the level of the school and its academic reputation and unique achievements that distinguished it from its counterparts and made it famous at the local, regional and international levels

It is noteworthy that the Erasmus+ Week, which lasted for five days, was convened with the aim of strengthening cooperation and ties between the participants, discussing future plans in the field of technical and vocational education, and providing more opportunities for faculty members and students to develop the academic and educational environment. Its agenda included various academic activities aimed at to foster academic, educational and research networking with European universities.
