Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Raed Masadeh Bani Yaseen, Dean of the School of Business, the Accounting Department organized a scientific day for the department's students. The events commenced with a speech from the school dean, where he welcomed the students, emphasizing that students interest is at the center of the schools focus , stating that the schools seeks to keep improving the quality of educational, research, and training methods to align with the requirements of the Local, regional and global labor market. Essentially, the dean urges students to take advantage of their time at the university by participating in both curricular and extracurricular activities that offered by different schools and centers at the University of Jordan such as the International Affairs Unit, the Library Unit, the International Program and Alumni Unit, the entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, the Community Service Center, andthe Deanship of Student Affairs and others.
In turn, the Head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Ghaleb Abu Rumman, gave a briefing on the accounting specialization, its importance and areas of work in the accounting sector and local and international financial institutions, and an indication of the role and importance of the training and counseling aspect in university life because of its positive impact on students' academic achievement and practical skills.
A group of faculty members in the Accounting Department also spoke, providing many important advice and guidance to students, including the guidance plan, numerous professional certificates in the field of accounting, and new technological techniques in accounting science.
The scientific day also included presentations from the Accounting Department Alumni, where Ms. Sana Al-Mahasneh spoke about the importance of the university in all its aspects of life, urging students to obtain professional certificates specialized in financials because of their role in preparing students to practical life. She also talked about the success story of her startup, which became a leading company in the local and international market.
At the end of the session, Sarh Center for Consultation and Training gave a detailed explanation of the most important professional certificates they provide. They also distributed free grants to a group of students in the department and some discounts on professional certificates and important training courses.
At the end of the scientific day, the dean of the school thanked the event organizers, looking forward to more meaningful activities and events that supports and develops students' skills and abilities.
