The School of Business at the University of Jordan, represented by the Accounting Department, organized a scientific visit to the Amman Stock Exchange

The School of Business at the University of Jordan, represented by the Accounting Department, organized a scientific visit to the Amman Stock Exchange, which was established in 1999 as an independent, non-profit institution authorized to operate as a regulated market for the trading of securities in Jordan. During the visit, the students were introduced to the work of the Securities Commission, the Securities Depository Center, and the Amman Stock Exchange, the fields of financial markets, and the types of securities in the Amman Financial Market. This in addition to the theoretical and practical application of the XBRL language used in the financial markets

In turn, the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Dr. Ra'ed Masa'deh Bani Yaseen, stressed the need to conduct scientific visits to institutions in the public and the private sector to see the practical reality and to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market.  Additionally, he emphasized the importance of involving students in different community service activities and holding scientific seminars and specialized workshops that raises their skills and enable students to perform the work efficiently. The head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Ghaleb Abu Rumman, stressed the need for students to participate in curricular and extracurricular activities, and the importance of linking scientific knowledge and skills with practice. The Director of the Financial Affairs Unit, a faculty member from the Accounting Department, Dr. Hamza Al-Mawali, highlighted the importance of strengthening the communication between departments and their students, guiding them in their educational journey, offering networking opportunities, and connecting students with specialized financial institutions. The Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Nura Musa Al-Lawzi, stressed the importance of maintaining connections with the ASE over the coming years;  stating that the school of business will continue its extracurricular activities to enrich students' participation in community service
